Using API to create a hidden column

Is it possible to hide a column when I create it via the API? I see nothing in the arguments list which would hide/collapse the column but thought I would double check here. If this is not possible is it on a future feature list?

Per a support email from Monday.com it is NOT possible to hide a column using the API.
