Managed Columns are great, But I have several board where I would like to replace the current status columns with a new managed status column.
I cold add the managed status column to the boards in question and copy the statuses from one column to another, but this would take a long time and i would loose all automations and decline modes connected to the legacy status column. not to mention any other boards that are connected to and mirroring that column.
The ability to change to a managed column would be FANTASTIC!
I have a lot of boards that have to be manually cleaned up and repeatedly since members don’t fully understand how the managed column works.
In addition, I have several boards that are mirrored thru differed workspaces and have to go clean up those mirrored columns doing this, as well. Definitely a needed feature!
Right? It drives me crazy that every time something awesome like this is added… I’ve all of a sudden got to go and update a bazillion boards which have like 40 automations each. All of which are now broken because of the column change.
I agree. We need the ability to be able to update existing columns to be a managed column, not a new managed column. I have 5 statuses in one board that I would like to all be connected to the same managed column and that currently isn’t possible from what I can tell. I can make each of them become their own managed column, but that defeats the purpose of being able to manage all 5 columns from one spot.
