Automations for when the 'text' column is filled to set the date

I realized that it would be amazing if there was an option to set the automatization to fill the date on “today” whenever the certain column that is ‘text’ is filled. There is a lack of automatizations on text columns in general.

IS there a requirement the text be filled with something in particular, or just the first time it gets filled with something, set a date? The below automation works because once the text is filled once - the date will no longer be empty so the automation will not run again.
