Can't preview PDF in files column

I’ve uploaded a PDF from my computer to the files column. When I click on that file it only shows a big red box (see screenshot). I seem to have to download it to view it. Is there a way to natively view PDFs in Monday.com?

There could be a few different reasons why you’re unable to preview a PDF in the files column, including browser cache issues, HIPAA compliance, file encryption, EU account restrictions, browser extensions or security software, and file type (CSV files cannot be previewed).

To troubleshoot, could you try the following steps?

  1. Try clearing your browser’s cache
  2. Check to make sure your account does not have HIPAA compliance status
  3. See if the file is encrypted
  4. And if your account is an EU account, try disabling any browser extensions or security software and test the file preview again.
