I’d like to be able to use conditional coloring when Column A not equal to Column B…or the opposite when Column A is equal to Column B but this option does not exist. Please add the ability to compare two column values.

Have you tried to utilize a formula column and do the value comparison there.
Then set the conditional coloring on the formula column.
If formula column is “not equal” set row/cell color.
