I would love to see a board-to-board automation copy function that does not require a template as an intermediary. A template works great if you know exactly how you will use a board forever. But I use multiple structurally identical boards for different production processes. When I discover a new automation in one board that would be useful in other existing boards, I would like to be able to transfer the automation directly from one working board to another rather than recreating it multiple times or adding it to the template for “next time”.

You are able to duplicate the board, and in doing so can choose to keep the structure/items/updates when it duplicates - but the automations should go with it too.
It’s not a perfect fix, as you’re describing copying only some automations and not necessarily at the point of initially setting up the board, but that should help you save some work in some instances.
Otherwise, if it’s individual automations you want to (copy)add to similar boards, you’ll still need add them in the relevant board as new - they can’t be pasted like that…yet.
