Count Contacts (not owners or Monday users) in a single column using formula in separate column

We are using Monday for tracking/project management of conference exhibits. I’m trying to count the # of contacts in a column to later calculate the cost per person. The contacts are chosen from Contact board and Monday displays the additional contacts beside the first name. Is there a formula or other function that will count those contact in another column to be the basis of other calculations?
formula #countcontacts

Hi @KCordaro.

Do you mean you want to count the number of contacts in a People column?

If so, this formula will do the trick:

{Person#Count}

Want to take your formulas to the next level? Try the Advanced Formula Booster, the app that reinvents formulas in monday.

  • Create formulas without using the Formula column (and avoid its limitations)
  • Build formulas involving data from the previous item, the next item, the sub-items, the parent item, even items in the same group or the same board.
  • In one formula, update multiple columns from multiple items.

Check our blog for real use cases.

That worked, thank you!
