Create tasks in the timeline view

It would really be helpfull if, for example, when you hover an empty spot on the timeline, a + icon or something like that would appear. When you click on it you can enter the required task fields and create a task on the spot.
Also control-dragging an existing task should duplicate the task to the new area.

This would save a HUGE amount of time and is much more user friendly so my colleagues will use the tool more efficient.

Maybe a screenshot makes things a bit more clear about great (and in my eyes mandatory) features for the timeline view:

  • Create, view, update & delete dependencies
  • Create a pulse (like in the calendar view by clicking on an empty space)
  • Split a pulse into 2 pulses (with the option for all linked persons or only for the selected person)
  • Copy a pulse by ctrl-dragging a pulse
