Creating New Items in Dashboard Table View - Automations [Question]

Hi beautiful Monday.com people,

We have dashboards for each of our Clients, that include a handful of account information. Pie charts to show project status, time logged on items, etc, specifically for that client.

Included in this is the Table Widget, that is filtered to show ONLY the tasks that are associated with that client.

This links to our main board where all our tasks across all accounts/clients live.

However, when users are in the individual client dashboard, and they want to add items to the filtered Table Widget, they are constantly having to update the Client dropdown.

Is there a way to add an automation so that when an item is added in the Client View using the Table Widget, it automatically populates the Client dropdown?

Note: our Client dropdown is just a Status column with each client populated

Try converting it to a dropdown column, and see if that works? Not sure if you will hit the limits in this case, but Status columns have a limit of 40 labels, while dropdowns have 500.

Can you create a form for them to enter instead and have certain fields already pre populated?
