How do you create a line chart for a series of statistics over a period of time. In my example, I want to see a line chart of for tickets opened and tickets closed. I have weekly numbers for tickets opened and tickets closed.

Welcome to the community! 
You would need to create a chart widget of the Stacked Line variety.
The Y axis would be the count of the items, the X axis the columns you want to use (perhaps creation/close date?), and then you could stack by board (I assume the closed tickets go to a different board) .

You can play around depending on the data you want to showcase and the structure of your account, what I suggested is just one possible solution.
