Embed columns into Creative Brief document? Or Embed Creative Brief into Form view?

Hi there,

I am trying out the (newish?) Creative Brief document. My company currently uses a form for our Brand team to fill out that creates a new item with some information, but they’ve always wanted it to have a few fields be a little more open-ended, as well as be able to export their brief. This is perfect for that so far!

However, some things are set in stone, and I do want their kickoff to populate some of our columns when an item is created. I see that the entire board can be embedded into a document template, but is there any way to bring in just one column? Or a form?

The other way around would work as well — if the Form view would allow the team member to click the Creative Brief template and edit the document for the new item.

My goal is for the team member to only have to go to one place to fill out their information and kick off the item, rather than have to create an item, edit the board, then edit the document.

Thanks in advance!

Hey

Nachliel from Easyapps here

You can hide columns of a table embedded in a monday workdoc by going to the embedded tables settings and selecting the columns you want to show, see here for example:

filtering columns in workdoc

Additionally you can add any embeddable link to a workdoc using the Embed everything element as you can see here:

embed form in workdoc 2

In this example I am using a form built with our monday app Easyform that allows you to create styled forms that better match your brand and embed perfectly in you documents and web pages. You can check out Easyforms many features in our extensive documentation site.

You can set up a free demo here or contact us at support@easyappshq.com for any question.

I hope this helps

Thanks Nichilel, seems like an interesting solution. The only issue I’m having is that I’d have to have the team member create the item first, then open the Brief Doc, then they could fill out the form. So it’s still a bit of an extra step. I will keep this option in mind, though!
