Embedded form and cookies

Good morning,

We had an embedded Monday form on our website but when you didn’t accept cookies, the form doesn’t show up, so we miss leads when we want to use this form.

Is there a way to fix this?

Best regards,
Arjan

Hi Arjan,

Could this be caused by the site’s cookie/consent tool blocking third‑party iframes until a visitor accepts cookies? The Monday form is loaded in an iframe (from forms.monday.com), so it gets hidden when cookies aren’t accepted.

Suggestions to try to fix it:

  • Allowlist the Monday form in your consent platform

    • Mark the embedded iframe as “essential/functional” so it’s not blocked by marketing/analytics consent.

    • Allow the form’s source domain in your CMP (e.g., forms.monday.com and monday.com, plus any domain you see in the iframe src in your embed code).

    • In tools like OneTrust/Cookiebot, this is typically done by whitelisting that iframe/source or assigning it to an always‑active category.

  • Provide a no‑cookie fallback link (quick win)

    • Keep the embed, but add a visible “Open form” link that works even if the iframe is blocked. Example:

If the form doesn’t load, click here: Open form
  • Use the direct form link instead of embedding

    • Replace the embed with a button that opens the Monday form in a new tab. This avoids your site’s cookie banner blocking the iframe while still collecting leads.

If you share:

  • the page URL where the form is embedded, and

  • which cookie/consent tool you use (e.g., OneTrust, Cookiebot, etc.),

I can suggest the exact allowlist steps for your setup or test the page and confirm what’s being blocked.

Good morning,

Thanks for your reply!
I have send your reply to the department who is responsable for our website and Cookie tool. Hope thet can add the iframe to a whitelist and that will do the job.

I will let you know if it worked.

Best regards,

Arjan
