Export to Excel (CSV)

Thank you Yoggie, we are having an issue on a specific board where the application won’t load after we “login” See the screenshot. It just spins.

Just wanted to let you know of an alternative. The Analytics & Reports by Screenful can combine data from any number of monday boards into charts and task lists, and allows exporting them into CSV. You can freely pick the columns from one or more boards that you want to export.

Notice that you won’t be able to export directly from the board view. Instead, you can place Screenful charts into monday dashboard and export from there. You can learn more at

Hey @Yoggie! Came across your app and I was wondering if there is a way to access sub-item columns as part of the export to xlsx. When I try to use the app it is only showing the main columns as options for export. Thanks!

Hi @RyanSWS !

Unfortunately no, the subitem’s columns don’t always match the columns of the board itself, so an xls file can’t handle that.

I would love hearing about your use case so maybe I could find a better solution.

Hi @Yoggie
Ive been trialling your app and its awesome. Its really allowing my team to get some great data from Monday.

I wanted to ask you something, at the moment your current program does not export any data from a formula’s column. Is it possible to update that?

We have some information that gets pulled together in a formula but we are not able to see that in the CSV file because its the one thing that doesnt pull through.

Please let me know.

Hi @Clayton & @RyanSWS @MichaelCalvinJones & @Bianca (@here)

I’ve added support for Formula columns in the Monday Reports app.
Also - you might want to check out the CSV-LINK app that also supports the formula columns.

Let me know if you need help with this.

Hi @Yoggie

Your app Monday reports seems to do everything we want it to do but what is stopping us from using it are all the permissions needed. We have sensitive data that has to be protected and giving anyone access to read/write all the data in our boards just seems too risky.

Have you overcome the same issues with other companies? If so, how did you do it?

Thanks.

Hi @Emil !

I totally understand.
I’ve got clients that needs better security, heavier payloads, etc, so they cannot use the free version I’ve built.

I highly suggest building a dedicated app just for you.
If you’re interested I’m available at yogev@formrally.com

Hi

I have a doubt because when I download the app I got this message: “This app hasn’t been reviewed or approved by monday.com

So, if I installed may I put my account information in risk?

Hi @Yoggie I have downloaded the Monday Reports app today installed it and added it to a board.
When I try to run it comes up with the header and then it just hangs forever. I have tried refresh, reinstall, different browser etc.

Any ideas welcome.

Hi @Yoggie - your help here would be really welcoem. Super keen on seeing Monday Reports in action and still get the spinning icon when I start this.

Hi.

You can use this script:

,to export Monday tables with evaluating formulas to csv automated with nodejs.
If you need any other language feel free to contact me:

Regards Kilian

All we have to do is click the 3 dot menu at the top right corner of our board, click “More actions” and then “Export board to Excel”. From here, we can choose whether we want to export just the table or to include all updates and update replies.

Hi @Paul_K
Sorry I’m not at the community that often because Monday.com disabled many features (such as messaging).

Hello Michael,

It seems that you just need to be able to export all the necessary columns to CSV. I think Skyvia can help you to do it easily. It was built for automation tasks (so you can schedule the export on a regular basis), however it also allows you to choose only needed columns for exporting.

The tool is freemium, and probably for this simple task the free plan will be enough for you or others who have the same task to do.

Hey everyone,

just wanted to let you know that you can also use our app Spreadsheet Gorilla to export one or more monday.com boards to CSV.

Here is a short explainer video:

If you have questions, just let me know.

– Simon

Is it possible to automate exporting within Spreadsheet Gorilla? For instance an automation process that exports board data into CSV or excel files? I’ve seen a few apps that can automate exporting to google sheets but CSV or excel files are preferred.

Not yet, but automation is one of the next things on the roadmap. The vision of Spreadsheet Gorilla is to have an All-in-one app when it comes to Spreadsheets + monday.com

Out of curiosity: which kind of automation would you be most eager to have? For example, send CSV/Excel as an E-Mail attachment?

My vote would be to have it automatically put in a google drive folder (or other such place like Dropbox or OneDrive) or update a Google sheet
