Since the new Favorites section was released recently, it has defaulted to its unexpanded view every time the page refreshes, meaning we have to manually expand it every time. Previously it stayed open until logging out, even if the browser was closed. Defaulting to closed defeats the purpose of having a Favorites tab to improve navigation. Is this is a bug or oversight in the coding?
What are you trying to achieve
When using Monday, we’d like it to remember between sessions whether the Favorites tab was expanded or not, to ease navigation. Perhaps a setting option or toggle to set it to always expanded or always not would be helpful? Thanks!
I find this to be weird as well. The whole idea with favorites is that I use them all the time. I am using the desktop app and I don’t know if that behaves differently than the browser but wanted to note it. I also don’t need to see the “regular” boards section unfold each time I click on a different favorited board. this is such a strange “update” to me.
I completely agree — keeping the Favorites section expanded should definitely be an option. Having it collapse by default reduces its usefulness for quick navigation. A setting or toggle to choose whether it stays open (or closed) would make the feature much more valuable.
