Hide Weekends in Calendar View (Boards and Dashboards)

My company works a standard Mon-Fri work week. We need the ability to toggle the weekend days in the calendar view on/off so we don’t have so much wasted space when viewing/displaying the calendar view for our Boards AND Dashboards. Per my conversation with support, this is only available for Timeline view.

Receiving multiple requests from end users for this feature.

This is key - so many organizations using monday.com don’t need this wasted space of weekends. Seems like it should be simple.

I was also looking for that option… But I don’t agree to hide the weekends as default. For example, I work for a company in Israel, they don’t work on Fridays but they work on Sundays. I work from Monday to Friday because I’m not there.

But it’s definitely missing an option to block weekends, or block days on each account. 'Cause depending on where you work, work days can be different.

Just chiming in, because this would be awesome! The calendar view is our go-to for high-level review of projects, and having the Sunday and Saturday on screen really just clutters the view, and occasionally causes some confusion.

Ditto! I have the same concern too!

Same here, got the request from different customers.

Would love this feature. My workaround is to export to Google Calendar, and choose not to show weekends there, but lose other functionality of Monday in doing so.

100% need this! It’s just a checkbox for the gannt chart view so please can we have the option to hide/view weekends on the calendar view. It’s causing a lot of confusion with the team and client.

Seems crazy this option doesn’t exist.

I was just recently looking for this option as well! M-F work schedule seems common for a lot of people so I agree that it’s annoying that it’s not an option to hide weekends when you’re looking at the calendar view. You can ‘hide’ weekends from the timeline so I was thinking that’d work in conjunction to the calendar. I’m a visual person so I think it makes managing projects slightly irritating when using the calendar view.

Either do this or allow me to make Saturday & Sunday much smaller. Thanks.

No response from Dev’s after 5 months and 20+ up votes? I’m starting to feel like these boards just aren’t being taken seriously.

Joining in on this feature request.

Joining in on this request too!

Yup, much needed here too! Especially since the padding is quite wide on the items when viewed in a calendar, the calendar needs to be unpractically wide for seeing the items’ names. This combined with the unnecessary weekends makes the calendar hard to read.

Also, I’d love if the cells would adjust to the number of items on a day. For a busy day the “week row” would show all items instead of “+3” without making all week rows as tall

Would love this feature too!

Dear Monday,
Deal with this ASAP. How was this not done out of the gate, what a loss. The visual real estate it takes up is insane. This is a five minute fix. Could not be more of a low hanging fruit.

An update to my plight. Got an email from the Ceo response team.
They said sorry, they are working on it, and can I use the Gantt chart instead. The calendar view is for my clients, who are not tech people. I want them to have a way to understand the project in a well known format.

Since this issue has been asked for since 2020, I have no confidence this is in the pipeline to get fixed.

This is really lame on Mondays part. I cant imagine an easier fix. Really disappointing.

Why does monday.com have an admin setting that allows you to leave weekends out of timelines, and then show you weekends on the calendars that pull data from the timelines?

Like many things with this app, it makes no Earthly sense.
