This one is pretty basic and it’s still not there. any update or a roadmap if this ever will make it in?
Hi community,
Just an update here. I know that this has been an important feature for many of you and so after speaking with our product team this feature has been added to our long term roadmap. This means that our development team is starting to work on creating this feature, but do not yet know when it will be ready. I will make sure to update it as soon as there is more information about its development process.
Thanks for all your ideas and keep sharing and voting your favorite features!
@Julietteb
Is there already an update regarding this topic? A client of mine would like to have this feature in the workload widget app as well.
I see that I can now edit time off using the “Work Schedule” section of my admin setting. But the holidays/blackout days that I allocate to time off still do not impact the timeline/Gantt views. Should we anticipate this being added soon?
This would be very useful! And even more useful if default working days could be set at the admin level, but that this setting could be further configured at the workspace or board level.
Hi, i see you created a board for vacation/ sickness ect, is there any chance of sharing as a template, seems you have got so.ewhere with this reading your past posts. Please
I have sent you a private message let me know if you need more info
Hi everyone! The ability to hide/show weekends and first day of the week settings is in Alpha and will be fully released soon. Once it is fully released our team will be able to continue and work on adding holiday/blackout days in the timeline gant view. There is not confirmed timeline for this and so in the meantime, there are some great apps that can help you with this and you can look through the thread for suggested apps from our community.
3 years on. Any progress?
If you have a timeline with dependencies and company holidays how are people updating timelines to reflect the days people are out?
I have multiple high level boards (with mirroring set up to show my projects in a single timeline dashboard). I then have a ‘Holiday’ project board that shows all my team’s holidays, and via mirroring again, these are reflected in a specific group on one of my high level boards. This group has a different colour so when viewed in a timeline view, the holidays stand out and are easier to see. It’s a workaround and I would prefer a native solution but this works as a temporary solution for now.
@Julietteb 3.5 years since this was described as in Alpha. I’m new to Monday and relieved I only purchased month-to-month, as this is such an obvious showstopper and appears to not be seen as such by Monday? What do people use this product for, nicely formatted notes? It’s marketed as a project management tool (among other things), and bedrock of that is setting what your team’s workdays are and are not, so that dependencies know which days are available for the durations that have been set. This is not something for an app, this is core. We certainly won’t be porting any more projects into this new tool until we learn where this functionality is on the roadmap.
Our team would also love to see this in the workload widget as well!
Our company also needs this feature.
Hi Isabelle,
I would also like to see how you handle a vacation board. Would you mind sharing with me as well?
Is there any update on this feature? It would be really useful to be able to grey-out individual employee holiday days in the workload widget without having to use a third-party app
This would be wildly helpful to our company as well and seems like an integral feature to include in any timeline or gantt-based system.
Has anyone got any workaround in the last 3 years while this feature is building?
My organization needs this holiday blackout feature in the timeline & Gantt views.
Appreciated it.
