How do you actually use YouTube to make monday.com workflows easier?

Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed a lot of tutorials on YouTube about monday.com, but I’m not sure which ones are actually worth the time. Some creators show flashy automations that seem great in theory, but when I try to implement them in my boards, they don’t really fit my team’s workflow.

Has anyone here found YouTube videos that genuinely helped simplify a complex workflow or save time? Or do you mostly stick to experimenting inside monday.com itself? I’m also curious if anyone makes their own videos for internal training—does that actually make onboarding smoother, or is it more trouble than it’s worth?

I’d love to hear real experiences—what worked, what didn’t, and any tips for separating the useful content from the noise.

I would say tara horns are the best so far but even then you have to piece most together to find something

Hello @danielmartinhq Totally relatable. A lot of YouTube content looks impressive but doesn’t always translate to real team workflows.

What’s helped me most is sticking to official monday.com resources for the basics and logic, then experimenting directly in my own boards. The official tutorials and Academy courses are practical and aligned with how the platform actually works.

For YouTube, I’m cautious with flashy automation demos and look for creators who explain why something works, not just what to build.

Internal videos have also been worth it for us. Simple screen recordings using your actual boards make onboarding faster and reduce confusion compared to generic examples.

Curious to hear which creators or resources others here trust most.
