Hi all, Is it possible to select which calendar the Google Calendar Integration will create an event in? I don’t remember seeing any options to select a calendar when setting up the Integration so assume it selects the default calendar in Google Calendar. But I hope I’m wrong…
cheers, Patrick
Hey Patrick,
I am afraid at this stage it isn’t possible to customise the calendar for the event to be created in… the event will be created in the default calendar in Google… I apologise for the setback here Patrick
Thanks for the answer, it’s what I expected. I have to say, the Google Calendar Integration (and the Monday Calendar view) is one my greatest headaches with Monday…
We hear you and do apologise to hear of your frustration. This is important feedback that I’ll pass onto the relevant teams.
Hey @botsquad
We developed an app called Google Calendar Integration Plus that provides a robust Google calendar and monday.com integration.
Here’s how it can be used in this case →
Simply select the calendar you want to connect →
Here are the key differences from monday’s native solution -
- Allows to select which calendar to use (not just the primary default)
- Supports subitems
- Much more flexible triggers - “no more sync every item”
- Allows full mapping - updates, invitees and more
- Allows to control the start & end date and time.
You can find it in the monday.com marketplace in the platform or here - Google Calendar Integration Plus - monday.com App Marketplace
Hope that helps
Hi @botsquad ,
We recently launched the app Google Calendar Sync - monday.com App Marketplace, which allows you to choose any of your calendars instead of just being restricted to your primary calendar. It will fit your use case perfectly.
Other Features
- Ability to select any calendar instead of default one
- Ability to create event on status column change
- Ability to configure realtime 1-way sync and 2-way sync as per need
- Ability to send invites to team members and guests from monday itself
