Description
Enable publishing of dashboard changes (widgets, layout, settings) from a Managed Template to all existing connected instances — exactly like board structure, columns, and automations already work today.
This would include:
Adding, removing, or reordering widgets
Changing widget settings (filters, chart types, displayed columns, etc.)
Layout changes (widget size and position)
With the same publish preview and conflict-resolution flow that already exists for boards.
What are you trying to achieve
We are on Enterprise and use Managed Templates to keep dozens-to-hundreds of project/workspace instances in sync. Board-level publishing works perfectly — thank you!
However, no dashboard changes propagate when we publish updates. Every tweak forces painful manual work across all instances:
- Copy-paste widgets one-by-one
- Delete & recreate the dashboard (losing shares, private widgets, comments, views)
- Re-create the entire instance
This defeats the core value of Managed Templates for teams that treat dashboards as their central “status cockpit.” Please extend publishing to include dashboards — it’s currently the biggest friction point for scaled Enterprise adoption.
