Need help printing labels in bulk from a "Files" column - PDFs to Zebra printer

I need to be able to print labels in bulk from a board that collects orders. When an item is created, an automation (Triggerly QR) creates a QR Code and for that item and stores it in the “Files” column. I use an app (DocExport) to create a PDF label from a template and it pulls the QR Code to another “Files” column. I need to be able to print all of these labels in bulk - downloading each PDF to print is not an option. I need to be able to select all of the items and have an application or software that will export all of the selected item’s PDFs and send them to a Zebra printer. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Did you figure anything out on this? We need it too.

I made a workaround. All of my labels are being generated in a files column. I then created a “Files Gallery” view, filtered as needed, and you can download all at once into a zipped folder. Then I selected all of the files, right clicked, and hit “Print”. The only thing is that the Zebra has to be set as my default printer because it doesn’t print with a printer dialog using that method. It’s not ideal, but it works.

If you’re looking to print a bunch of labels from a “Files” column in PDFs, I’d say it might be tricky if you’re using Zebra printers, but it’s doable. You could try setting up a workflow with a program like BarTender or Zebra’s software. These allow you to import PDF files and then link them with the specific label layout. If you’re after a smoother, more color-focused option, I suggest using an epson color label printer. It’s pretty straightforward and a great choice if you need to handle various file formats, including PDFs. You just set up your layout, import your PDFs, and let the printer do its thing! You’ll want to ensure your PDFs are optimized for label printing so they don’t get too stretched or distorted.

Hi @blsmith5 ,

thanks for using DocExport PDF Generator in your workflow. We’re supporting QR codes as well and just released a new “Triggers” feature.

With “Triggers”, you can scan a QR code to update a status column or modify a numbers column without needing to log in to a monday account.

Here’s a quick video tutorial of how to set up the “Triggers” with DocExport:
