Need help with undoing a folder move

I was trying to move tasks from a folder in one workspace to another workspace. It was stating to use a folder to do this. So I created a folder and My Scrum team folder move under the Dev to Projects folder I had created in anticipation of using the cross account copier feature but unfortunately I thought it would copy the items not actually move them. Now I need to get the My scrum team folder from under the Dev to Projects folder. The article said to use the activity log but my folder move is not showing up. HELP!!!

Hello @caril That’s a frustrating situation but you’re not doing anything wrong.

Folder moves don’t appear in the activity log and there’s no undo for moving folders between workspaces. The good news is your boards are still safe.

Open the Dev to Projects folder, click the three dots next to each board, choose Move to workspace, and move them back to the correct workspace. You can recreate the folder after if needed.

If this just happened and there are a lot of boards, I’d recommend contacting monday.com support. They may be able to help if it was recent.

Dr. Sachar,

The problem I am having is they are in the same workspace. I basically have a folder within a folder – see screenshot below. I just don’t want to confuse the other team members as to where they can find their tasks. I want to get rid of the Dev to projects folder but not lose all of the data under the My scrum team folder if I delete the Dev to project folder. I also thought that making this move would be just a copier not an actual move. I am still learning Monday since I have mainly used MS Project in the past. Thank you

Hello @caril have you been able to get it done ?

Dr. Sachar,

Sorry for the delay in responding but yes I solved my issue. Thank you for your support.

Glad to hear that @caril
