Notification for files column

I would like to request an automatic email notification whenever any files are added, edited or deleted in the files column or files gallery including information about who made the change and which files where changed.

Automations do not seem capable of providing this simple information in an email and also do not work with the files gallery.

Also, why are the files gallery and files column separate? Why can’t they share the same information. If one is update, why isn’t the other one updated automatically as well?
