At the moment, when you move an item from one board to another, it doesn’t retain the activity log.
This is an issue as when you’re moving your items to an archive board for example, it wipes the audit trail of your ticket. Appreciated you still have comments, but having the movement of the ticket is really helpful in retrospect.
Please can this feature be explored 
I have the same issue, since monday is now limiting the numer of linked connect item to 10k per board I need to create a new board and move a huge sum of items to this board and losing a lot of needed information on the activity log
