I am looking for a possibility to show progression of a task based on a progression column in gantt.
I know this functionality from TeamGantt, see pic:

Hi Oliver,
You can use a formula column to show the progression of tasks in your Gantt chart by turning it into a percentage format that indicates how much has been completed. Just set up a formula that compares today’s date with the start and end dates for each task. As such, you will see how much time has passed compared to what was originally planned.
By rounding this calculation to show progress as a percentage (and adding some conditions to mark if tasks are running late or early), you can get pretty close to the display you’re used to from TeamGantt
