Does Monday offer any kind of integration where A: There is a template for Vacation tracking for staff (this link exits but appears to be broken) Vacation Tracker Template | monday.com . And B: a way to indicate when staff are not available to be scheduled due to vacation that is reflected in the workload widget i.e it would show their row as shaded or labeled as unavailable. Running a system for a TV show with daily assignments and finding it difficult to use for scheduling staff assignments.

Monday.com has some basic templates for vacation tracking, but I understand the link you found might not be working. For better tracking and scheduling, I recommend using the Teamboard app.
With Teamboard, you can set up holiday and capacity tracking, showing when staff are unavailable right on the Workload view. If someone is on vacation, it will mark them as unavailable, so you’ll see it easily.
