I have an automation to create a new board item when the status changes for an item on another board. When mapping the fields between the boards I can’t select connected fields or fields with a formula from the source board. Why? Am I missing something? This seems like pretty important and basic functionality.
I am trying to the same thing. Since the linked field wouldn’t copy, I tried using a formula field. As you noted, those don’t copy either. I see you can automate on a change to a linked field. I’d like to copy that change to at text field in the same board, then copy that value when the item is copied to another board. If I figure out a way to do it, I’ll share it. Are you still looking for a solution?
