Ability to add tasks from Gmail

Description

ClickUp has a Google Extension that allows users to capture items from Gmail and add them to a task list and assign people, while still in Gmail. This would be extremely beneficial for Monday, as when requests come in and need to be noted down, working and assigning from one view is quite convenient.

What are you trying to achieve

Be able to add tasks to correct boards, groups and assign people, essentially view the entire list of columns to fill in, while never leaving the email.

This is a great idea — being able to create tasks directly from Gmail would save time and streamline workflows. Current integrations require setup outside Gmail and aren’t as seamless. Adding native in-email task creation would make managing emails and actionable items much easier, especially for teams handling lots of client requests or support emails.

hi @TanjaOps and @JonahScott, you can use Email to Tasks for monday.com. It lets you capture emails directly from Gmail and turn them into monday items without leaving your inbox - you can choose the board and group, assign people, and include the email content and attachments right away. It’s especially handy when requests come in by email and need to be turned into action quickly.

There’s a 14-day free trial, and if it helps, we can also schedule a quick demo to walk through everything and show how it fits your workflow in detail.

I fixed this. Threads as comments, attachments, ai summary, update existing tasks with subject being the task url. casso .app. there’s a 90 sec demo on the site and free version.

Hi Mariia,

Thanks for reaching out, I have actually tested this app. However, we were hoping Monday would add this feature within the app itself, as we are already paying for it on a monthly basis, and would like to have this natively within the platform, without the third party app connection or additional pricing involved.
We anticipate it will save a lot of people the time to import tasks to internal boards without leaving their email, and it is a feature offered by Monday.com’s competitor, so it is definitely an in-demand feature.
