Add a Wishlist Functionality to the Monday.com App Marketplace

As a frequent user of Monday.com and its App Marketplace, I often explore various apps to find tools that suit my needs. However, I’ve noticed there isn’t an option to save or bookmark apps for future reference. This can be especially challenging when I come across apps that look promising but I’m not ready to install them immediately, whether due to time constraints, current priorities, or the need to explore other options first.

Additionally, many apps offer trial periods, and having a wishlist would allow users to revisit and evaluate these apps later without the risk of forgetting about them.

To address this, I would like to propose adding a Wishlist feature to the App Marketplace.

How the Wishlist Would Work:

  • Users can click a “Save to Wishlist” button on any app in the marketplace.
  • The wishlist could be accessed from a dedicated tab or section within the user’s account.
  • Optional categories within the wishlist could allow users to organize apps based on different use cases (e.g., productivity, integrations, reporting).
  • Include functionality to remove apps from the wishlist or move them to “Downloaded Apps” for apps that have been installed.

Benefits of the Wishlist Feature:

  1. Improved User Experience: Users can easily keep track of apps they’re interested in without needing to search repeatedly.
  2. Better App Discovery: Encourages users to explore and save more apps, potentially increasing app adoption.
  3. Enhanced Collaboration: Users can share their wishlists with teammates or others to discuss which apps are the best fit for their needs.
  4. Streamlined Decision-Making: Facilitates app evaluation by allowing users to revisit shortlisted apps.
  5. Supports Trial Planning: Helps users make better use of apps with trial periods by saving them for when they’re ready to test or implement them.

Additional Suggestions:

  • Add an option to share the wishlist link with teammates or collaborators.
  • Include notifications or reminders for wishlist items that have updates, discounts, or new features added.

This feature would bring significant value to all users, making it easier to explore, organize, and adopt apps in the marketplace. Thank you for considering this suggestion! I look forward to feedback from the community and the Monday.com team.

I like this feature request. Upvoted. Especially the trial management piece. Sometimes you want to try an app to see if it does what you need, but maybe not actually start using it yet. Being able to like ‘pause’ a trial maybe, or maybe have one day of use before the 14 day trial begins. Something to allow for more flexibility in that department would be good.
