Limit adding apps to ONLY administrators (Monday.com apps are not restricted)

Adding Monday products such as work management, CRM, Monday service, and so on, is not limited to the admin. Please fix this bug and or add a configuration option for admins to allow/not-allow non-admins from adding Monday.com apps that cost money.

Hello Brian! Shannon here with the monday team. :waving_hand: Thank so much you for sharing your feedback with us. Would you be able to share a little more context about the pain points you are running into as an admin in the account?

Currently, yes, non-admin users can start free Trial Plans for monday products that have not been installed or purchased in an account. However, as an admin user, you have the ability to delete, cancel, or upgrade the product(s) from the Administration settings. Are you looking to completely remove the ability for non-admin users to start free product trials?

For apps fround in the monday Marketplace, any non-admin user who is looking to install an app must request permission from an admin user: Understanding monday marketplace security > Who can install external apps.

Additional context from you would be super helpful to continue optimizing user permissions! We look forward to hearing more on this.

Hi Shannon :waving_hand: - happy to!

Context… Confirmed by Monday_com support, Monday_com allows Monday products such as work management, CRM, Monday service, and so on to be added by non-Admins (a.k.a. “Member” users) and NOT require requesting admin approval to install. Many of these products have a trial period and when that trial expires it requires a paid subscription.

Bug #1: (imho) Those products do NOT allow Admins to delete/cancel those products UNTIL the trial expires (see screenshot for app example)

Bug #2: Those products do NOT require requesting permission from an admin user to be installed.

A Monday_com continual support item we get is - “Member” users play around, accidentally install an app (without needing to request permission to), we ask them if they intended to do that and they say no. Then we (admin users) have to calendar schedule to remove the app when the trial expires since, as an admin, we are not allowed to remove the installed app UNTIL the trial expires.

Got it! Thank you so much, Brian. The additional context helps to clarify your feature request for us!
