Would be great to combine the person column with some kind of drop down. So for example that only teams can be assigned or only a specific group of persons.

I have a similar request for a drop down selection as well. Hoping this post gets some attention 
I was wondering if a label could be selected and it would then “open” a list of sub-selections. Sort of what you are looking for as well.
