Best Practices for Optimizing Workflow Automation in Monday.com for Improved Team Collaboration

I’m currently looking to improve the efficiency of our team’s workflow on Monday.com by leveraging automation. Specifically, I want to reduce manual tasks and enhance collaboration among team members. Could anyone share their best practices or tips for optimizing workflow automation in Monday.com?

I’m interested in understanding how to set up automation for tasks like assigning work, updating project statuses, sending notifications, and managing recurring tasks. Also, if there are any recommended integrations or tools that could further streamline the process, that would be really helpful!

Hi @sajjad1122 I find the biggest efficiency gain in my team was automating the follow ups.

I use this automation in almost every solution. For example we have an approval workflow. So when an item is submitted it goes into awaiting approval status with a + day due date. So then every 2 days if it’s still awaiting approval and that date has passed, a notification sends out to the approver and adds 1 to a number column. After 3 reminders and the number column hits 3, it reassigns to a manager. You can adapt this to many scenarios to try and keep people on track etc.
