Best Workflows on Monday.com for Managing an Online Store’s Inventory and Orders

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for practical advice and real-world examples from people who use Monday.com to manage their online store’s day-to-day operations, especially when it comes to inventory tracking, order management, and fulfillment workflows.

If you’re running an eCommerce business—whether it’s Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Etsy, or a custom store—I’d love to know how you’ve structured your Monday.com boards, automations, and dashboards to keep everything organized and running smoothly.

Here are a few specific things I’m hoping the community can share:

Inventory Management Workflows:
How do you track stock levels, incoming shipments, restocks, low-stock alerts, or SKU variants on Monday.com?

Order Processing Pipelines:
What does your order workflow look like—from the moment an order is placed to packaging, shipping, and delivery? Are you using status columns, automations, integrations, or custom views?

Automation Tips:
Which Monday.com automations save you the most time? For example: automatic status updates, triggers when stock hits a minimum level, updating multiple boards at once, or notifying the team about new orders.

Integrations:
Are you integrating Monday.com with your eCommerce platform, fulfillment apps, or shipping tools? If so, what’s working well for you?

Dashboards and Reporting:
How do you visualize sales data, inventory forecasting, or fulfillment performance? Any must-use widgets or dashboard layouts?

Basically, I want to see how others are using Monday.com as the “central hub” for their store operations—so I can get ideas and potentially improve or rebuild my own workflow.

If you have screenshots, templates, or specific examples, feel free to share!
Looking forward to your insights

Hey @TarunNagar

There’s is an out of the box inventory template app for monday that supports majority of what you listed.

I use Monday.com to track inventory and orders with separate boards for SKUs and order status. Automations alert me on low stock and update order progress, while Shopify integration keeps things synced. Dashboards help me monitor stock and fulfillment at a glance—having one central hub makes daily operations much easier.

A common community approach is to use separate boards for Orders, Inventory, and Suppliers, linking them for real-time tracking. Automate status updates, stock alerts, and reorders. Use dashboards for order status, stock levels, and sales trends. Include a returns workflow and assign team members for accountability. Automations like deducting inventory when orders ship and alerting on low stock make managing an online store efficient and transparent.
