Board-specific doc template with column placeholders for item-specific docs

Summary:

  • We would like to automate the creation of item-specific docs based on a board-specific template with column placeholders.

User story:

  1. A user creates a board-specific template with column placeholders.
  2. The user navigates to the Files column of the board item and creates a new doc instance using the board-specific doc template.
  3. Once the doc instance is created and linked to the item, the column placeholders get replaced with the respective item’s column values.

Use cases:

  • Contracts
  • Acceptance acts
  • Purchase orders

Please let me know if there is an existing feature for this or if a new feature could be considered for this purpose.
