Is there a way to auto populate the doc template set for a column once a new item is created in the board instead of having to click on it?
The reason I ask is because we rely heavily on the monday.com app and unfortunately it seems if we create a new item from the app, we cannot access/generate the doc template until we go to monday.com and click on it. Then we can go back to the app and open it. Any ideas?

You should be able to set this up using item defaults. If not setting the template, you can at least have it attached in a file column that would populate with every new item. They should be able to open it that way.

Thank you Peta! Great options. But I just tried both and the doc template is not supported in the default item value. When I created a file column and tried that way, it also says the doc is not supported.
