I am using the Monday Real Estate CRM Template for managing my commercial real estate business. The transactions board seems like it could be great for pipeline management, but I am having trouble with commissions calculations. The default column only allows for one formula for the entire column, but each deal has a different commission and a Lease vs a Sale has completely different commission structures. For example, when selling properties, one deal might have 2% commission, the other might have 6% commission. Is there a way that each row could have its own formula within the column?
Hi @BrettB,
No, this is not possible. But you could enter the commission in a column and reference that column in the formula.
Want to take your formulas to the next level? Try the Advanced Formula Booster, the app that reinvents formulas in monday.
- Create formulas without using the Formula column (and avoid its limitations)
- Build formulas involving data from the previous item, the next item, the sub-items, the parent item, even items in the same group or the same board.
- In one formula, update multiple columns from multiple items.

Thanks Gilles. Are you able to provide an example of what this might look like?
You create a commission column and a formula column.
You set your formula to
{SoldAt}*{Commission}/100
and your formula will indicate what the commission is.
Want to get rid of the formula column? and write formulas that support multiple lines, variables and can update various columns at once? Take a look at the Advanced Formula Booster at https://mdboosters.com.
