Can you count items from a group in one board and display the total in a summary board?

This is possible! You can do this by setting up a connect board column and mirror column in your summary board. From there you can connect the items from that specific group and mirror the associated column (i.e. it might be a numbers column or formula column).

What if the amount of items change in the group where you are counting the items? From my knowledge you have to manually select each item which defeats the point of actively keeping count of items in a group from another board. Would you have to manually add the item to the connectected board column or would it auto update? if not how can you always have an active count of items in a specific group from a board? if you can’t how can you keep an active count of total items in a board.
