Summary Board from other board inputs

Hi All,

I have a use case, were I have a number of different entities in different regions, and they are all expected to provide a monthly forecast.

Currently they all have their own board which they update each month. Someone then manually takes the totals and inputs it into our total business board.

Is there a way to connect these together so that the summary board shows the total of the separate boards? The columns and items are the same in all boards.

We have looked at using sub items, but then we cannot track changes. We have it sort of working with connected boards and mirror columns, but column summary doesn’t work with mirror columns.

We don’t really want to go back to excel, but as we add more regions the manual work is getting too much.

Thanks.

hi @markblack

That seems to be an exact use case for the Rollup Multiple Boards app (see https://monday.com/marketplace/101) and a full instruction video at Vimeo

Hi @markblack - if you continue down the road of connected boards and mirroring, you can use formula columns that just reference the column you want to see a total with - it will then show the total as normal (this is a limitation with mirror columns):

This does require some duplication of columns, however its a one time creation. You can then hide the mirror columns in the view.

Hope this helps!
Mark
