I am trying to share a view of my Gantt view via the Shareable link to give access to external users.
The table shares fine.
The gantt view says there is secret information.
I am the board owner. We do not have HIPAA enabled.
The AI chat assistant says that this is a bug currently being looked at, but other sources say it isn’t possible to share advanced views in this way for Monday.com
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to share Gantt views with external users? Thank you.
You’re not missing anything. Shareable Links can show the board table, but they don’t support advanced views like Gantt for external users, so the “secret information” message is expected.
Best workaround is inviting them as a guest, or sharing a dashboard instead.
@drtanvisachar this cannot be true… My entire team have been using shareable link views with clients for the past year that include calendar and gantt views. The attached screenshot is one from a preview link itself I used in a message 2 days ago. Why are we now getting this information is secret message?
Unfortunately, I can confirm we’re experiencing an ongoing bug with shareable links that’s causing the issue you’re experiencing. We’re working on it! I’ll make sure to post here once it’s resolved
Since this came up , I drop in an alternative for collaboration with clients outside monday.com. With Interactive Gantt Timeline yoг can share Gantt with clients and collaborate directly on it:
Clients can leave comments and suggest timeline changes right on Gantt
After approving, new timeline automatically updates the board.
Interactive Gantt Timeline doesn’t replace monday.com’s native Gantt — it enhances it. Keep using monday.com’s Gantt view internally, and share Interactive Gantt Timeline with clients outside your workspace.
No version chaos.
No endless PDF exports.
Just one live Gantt for monday.com.
@Tom-CXmonday thank you for the validation! Is there any place I can actively track this? This tool has been quite important for my team and how we communicate production timeline shifts to our clients. Without it it causes a ton of extra work. I would LOVE to be able to stay on top of this info!
So unfortunately there isn’t really a place I can direct you to, the best I can suggest is checking in on your links from time to time, and I will of course make sure to update here as soon as I can once the issue is fixed.
Can I suggest in the meantime the schedules PDF export? I know it’s not a live view, but it might answer your needs partially
