I want to set a few columns to a specific value every day. It’s a like a daily checklist that I want to reset so my team can update their tasks as the day goes by. How can I do that easily? I may want to change it every day or every week, depending on the board

Will the specific value that you change the columns to be different or always the same? Depending on your needs, there would be a couple of automations you could concatenate to serve you.

You can do this with a recurring automation.

A common setup is using a scheduled automation like:
“When date arrives every day > set Status to X” or “clear column.”

For a daily reset, some teams add a Date column (for example “Reset date”) and use an automation such as:
“When date arrives > set Status to ‘Not started’.”

Then add another automation to move that date forward (for example, push the date by 1 day) so it keeps repeating.

If you want it weekly instead, you can use the same idea but push the date by 7 days instead of 1.

This approach lets the board reset automatically without needing someone to update each item manually. If the reset should apply to many items, just make sure they all share the same reset date column so the automation triggers consistently.

You can do this easily using Make Automation

Set up a scheduled scenario that runs every day (or week) at a specific time. The scenario will:

  • Find the items on your board

  • Update the selected columns to the default values you want based on the conditions (e.g., reset statuses, numbers, checkboxes, etc.)
