Client Portal for Monday.com - Softr

I know lots of Monday users have been looking for a way to create a portal that integrates well with their Monday.com account. When we at Mindflows found Softr, we tested it out and we immediately loved it!

Softr recently added monday.com as a data source option. These are some of the use cases that we’d like to share:

Client Portal

  • when you want your clients to be able to log in to a portal with your own branding, logo and colours
  • when you want your clients to track project progress without necessarily having access to your Monday.com account
  • when you want your clients to upload documents through the portal which would automatically get added to your Monday.com account
  • when you want your clients to view and edit their information
  • when you want your clients to see their information only

Employee Portal

  • when you want employees to send vacation requests
  • when you want employees to view and edit their information
  • when you want employees to have a secure way of uploading their personal documents without having to share the board with different people
  • when you want a nice announcements page

I’m sure there are many other use cases, especially depending on your industry.
For example,

  • if you’re a law firm and you want your clients to see the case status and be able to upload relevant documents
  • If you’re a real estate firm and want your clients to be able to add more information on their property and so you can provide transparency on all the transactions, appointments and required documents
  • if you’re a marketing agency and you want your clients to see all the tasks/projects related to them without them seeing information about your other clients

I am struggling with connecting Softr & Monday as it says I have to adjust my boards since it doesn’t directly integrate. Can you help with that? Also, if there are multiple templates in Softr that I want to use on my employee portal, can I and connect them?

@evolvewithmj Absolutely! It can be a challenge at first especially since both platforms are built very differently but I can help you understand the difference between both and the best way to create an employee portal.

Since Monday users usually build the boards a different way, we need to make sure that the board structure can be read by Softr.

Where do I start? I could not find softr in monday.com. Is there a video you could share on how to implement this in monday?

Hi @Kensianlaw — you have to sign up for a Softr account first and then connect it to your monday.com account. Mindflows has made a video about this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Zgctt8wK9E
