Conditional labelling and its use when you save the board as a template

Description

currently, a platform limitation. When saving a board as a template, any label change conditions that are set on the board do not carry over to new boards created from that template.
This is because label change conditions are only applied at the board level, and each board operates with its own set of rules and ID (which will also apply in that case to the conditional labels in either standard or managed templates). Therefore, I’m afraid that the only option we have is to recreate any label change conditions each time they create a new board from a template.

What are you trying to achieve

Not having to recreate label conditions each time a board is created from a template.

I agree that this is a very needed feature!!!

However, although it may be cumbersome depending on your setup, have you tried creating automations for this?

If you create automations that do the same thing, roughly, in your template board, then those automations will be carried over into your new boards.

It’s not as good as the label conditions, but you can set it to be more of a process than anything. See the below simple example. It’s what I do on Work Management since, unfortunately, there are no Label Conditions there. :sob:

I agree that automations is one way in which we can do this, however as you say its a stop gap rather than having the ideal.
