It is obvious that one of the most common automations is “when status changes to something, move to group.” Monday presents these as the first options when creating a new automation.
I often have to write new and separate automations for every option in a status column that will cause the item to move into the corresponding group. I then often create automations that change the status to the correct option when an item is moved into a different group. That can represent 4-12 automations right there, depending on the number of groups/status options.
Since this is such a common design element, it would be really great to have the option to choose a status column and generate all the automations required to move to corresponding groups. Ideally, this feature would give you the option to create groups to match the status options if they didn’t already exist, and vise versa.
