When stattus changes, move item to a newly created group

I am looking for an automations, when status change to something, a new group will be created, and the item will be moved to this new group.

I see that I might need to create 2 seperate automations.

  1. When status change to something, create a new group (with a customized name).
  2. When status change, move item to a group (However I am not able to choose the new group with the customized name).

Could someone help me with his?

Hello @Jingjue .

The problem you are facing is that it is not possible to choose a group that has not been created yet in an automation, which does make sense.

One workaround solution is:

When you create a group (with an automation) , it always goes to the top of the board. So if you choose Top Group in the automation, the item will essentially move to that newly created group.

If this is not to your liking, you would need to use a platform like Make.com.
