I have a board called Jobs that contains projects in it. I have another board called Schedule to plan visits to projects. How can I set the Item column in the Schedule to only allow entries from the Project column in the Jobs board?
Unfortunately filtered item selection of one connect board column based on another connect boards column isn’t possible. I’ve tried explaining it in a feature request and seems most can’t understand the concept.
Here is a question, could you instead use an automation from the jobs board to create the visit and connect it to the job? Then you can sort/filter jobs based on project there, and create the visit.
Another possibility is to prefix each job name with the project name, so that on the visits board, at least searching the project name will filter to those jobs. There are apps (Column Magic for example) that can build the name from your columns automatically.
