We could do with having the ability to use the average value of a column when building charts.
Like you can already select ‘Count’ instead of having the sum of the values. We just need an ‘Average’ value here, like you do when you just add a number widget to the dashboard.
We are trying to create a chart showing our Average Install Time for each item on the board.
Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Hi, Im getting the same issue. Anyone has any solution for this yet?
I’ve raised this issue about a year ago with Monday.com support. They offered a workaround that includes building another dashboard to aggregate values and then pulls the average from that dashboard. However, that solution is not scalable or easy to maintain.
I hope that the Monday.com team is reading this and will work to add this essential feature as soon as possible.

We recently added the ability to use functions in charts, which will allow you to calculate the average!
This is available for all chart types in both the board view and widget.
You can select this in the chart settings, as in the example here:
