Here’s what we have in mind: Whenever a subitem is allocated to someone in the “Person” column of our system, we want an automated email to be sent to that person, notifying them of the assignment.
This is possible on a parent item level and not a subitem level.

Dependent on how these user collaborate on your platform, the first thing you will need to ensure is each user has:
- Personal Notifications - set these to ensure when assignment is made then an email is sent as a notification.
Once this is set, you can then send a notification to the people column via an automation when the people column changes on the subitem. This way, notifications will be sent to the person not only via an email but also a notification.
