Custom Action With Monday's Build In Trigger

Hi community!

I was wondering how/ or if it is possible to use Monday’s default trigger blocks with a custom action block that I created in workflow.

Is it possible to modify the workflow creation process in Monday.com so that when I click “Create from scratch,” I can:

1. Select from Monday’s default trigger blocks, as displayed in the screenshot.
2. Click the “+” icon to add additional conditions from Monday’s preset options.
3. Scroll down under “Then do this” to see and select the custom action block I created in my workflow.

Additionally, would it be possible to extend this functionality further? For example, if my custom action block is “Then move item to group,” could there be a “+” sign next to it that allows me to add another action block from Monday’s default choices?

It only seems like I can only create my recipe sentences and select that premade entire sentence, but I cannot mix and match or even add to it. Like choosing just the custom action block by itself.

Please ask my clarifying questions if this doesn’t make sense.

No, unfortunately you can’t edit the prebuilt templates. But you can use the recipe builder to create it from scratch

So there is no way to bring my own custom action here?

What about this?

It seems like there are Apps and I see Formula Column Automations which seems to not be Mondays own default blocks but rather a custom one? Is there a way to bring my custom action from the workflow block to this?

If I am reading your request correctly, you want more options in these recipes than just what is given, especially when creating your own. I agree with this, I get very frustrated that I cannot create more customized recipes as I’m bound by the options that are pre-set.
