Rather than requiring a Constant or Variable to be replicated on every column, the equivalent of a board global property would be useful especially in formulas.

Sure, let’s say that we have a multiple boards each dedicated to different project. “project name” is an example of a constant value that could be used in a formula on each board. Perhaps you wanted to rank projects so a priority constant might be utilized in formulas on each board. Currently this is all possible by creating a formula column and having that constant appear as a fixed value on each item. But that seems unnecessary if there were a way to just associate constant/variables as a custom global parameter on each board.
