Hello everyone,

Do you know if it is possible to updates automatically some values that are in a column when I update an excel file ? Here is my use case :

  • I import an excel file into monday
  • I would like to automatically update values from the imported excel file in a specific column
    Is there a native way to do this or should I use a third party app or an API dev ?

There is currently no way to do this natively.

I developed a workbook that called monday APIs to do this. It is not simple. But, it is possible. I had originally offered to let others try it. However, I stopped development because of lack of interest/follow through. I assume that people were just scared off by idea of using VBA/“macros”?

There may be an app available.

Thank you for your help, I am quite surprised that there is no native solution as I though it was a very common business need. I saw that some people had developed an app recently. Maybe I will also look about Zapier connexion between the two systems.

I would use Integromat rather than Zapier, personally :nerd_face::+1:t2:
