I’m experiencing an issue with the response limit when creating a form. When I set the response limit to a certain number, it doesn’t seem to work properly. For instance, I set it to 10, but I received 17 responses before the form submissions were closed.
Alternatively, could you please advise on how to properly set a maximum limit for form submissions?
That sounds really frustrating, especially when your relying on limits for something important. FormFlow has Submission Rules where you can set exact limits and it actually enforces them properly. You can also set custom messages for when the limit is reached, control resubmissions, and add time window or country restrictions.
Might be worth trying as an alternative:
The form response limit in monday.com is not a hard stop in real time. If multiple users submit the form while it’s close to the limit - especially if they already have the form open those submissions can still go through before the form fully closes. That’s why setting a limit of 10 can result in more than 10 responses.
To set a maximum limit:
Go to Form View → Settings → Limit responses → Enter the maximum number.
If you need a strict cap (e.g., only 10 spots available), the safest approach is to set the limit slightly lower to account for overlap.
This is unacceptable , at this point what’s the benefit of setting a limit.
Is there a way in a Workflow to limit Reponses? So let’s say your capacity if 50, once the 51st form is entered , the workflow could put you on a wait list. The problem is that in the Workflow you can not use the “Count” of the board, you can’t use auto number and you can’t use formula so their is no way do this. Very disappointing !
Thank you!!
There are many things that make no sense in Monday. It was so much potential but there are parts that were not thought out!
In this example there is a limit Great! What is the user experience? You enter a form that goes nowhere?!
And don’t get me started on Automation, urg!!!
